10/29/2008: ESTHER PEARL WATSON AT THE OAKLAND MUSEUM
![]() "LA PAINT" is a survey of 60 works by 11 artists who reflect the diversity of style, medium, and content in current SoCal painting. Chief Curator of Art Philip Linhares traveled 1500 miles through the Southland, finally choosing Linda Stark, Brian Fahlstrom, Steve Galloway, Loren Holland, Hyesook Park, Steve Roden, Don Suggs, Esther Pearl Watson (YG3), Robert Williams, and Armando Lerma and Carlos Ramirez (who collaborate as The Date Farmers). The show opened at the Oakland Museum of CA on October 3rd, and will run through March 2009. Comments: 0
10/28/2008: RAKING LEAVES WITH JULIEN VALLEE
![]() If you're in Berlin this week, go check out the opening of Raking Leaves at the Create-Berlin showroom, this Wednesday the 29th at 7pm. The exhibition features work by Julien Vallée (YG6), Eve Duhamel and Brent Wadden. The show will be up until November 28th. Comments: 0
10/21/2008: LOOKING THRU THE B-SIDES
![]() Sean Dougherty (YG5 winner) teamed up with long-time friend and colleague Saiman Chow to co-direct a long format 8-minute long stop-motion short for Fuel TV entitled "Looking Thru the B-Sides". It is now being accepted into festivals such as NY's Pictoplasma, Hamburg's International Film Festival, Amsterdam's Klik festival, and DOTMOV2008.
