We got to explore the Cube in a new spot for the high end Italian fashion house MaxMara via Giovanni Bianco Studio 65. Our goal was to create a piece where sensory and emotional shifts are seen through the planes of the cube. By taking live action footage and weaving it together with stop motion, time lapse photography and inventively crafted effects we achieved that, producing an unforgettable, incredibly textured dreamlike narrative.

We combined cartoon-like imagery and stop motion surrealism and were able to put a lighter spin on the serious topic of (dental) health care. It was discussed that the feeling one should have after watching is what you feel when you wake up from a bad dream, the shock value is intentional and so is the comedy.

Working with Colorado's Cactus Marketing Communications we came up with some uniquely crafted :15 spots that expand on the message of Colorado's teen anti-tobacco campaign as it entered it's social networking phase. The campaign combines live action, stop motion animation and unique design work to deliver strong messages of choice (Own Your CHOICE) in unpredictable ways.

Our clients had 2 specific comments for this project: show some guys sitting around watching TV and show some slasher-film gore.
We wanted these spots to speak to the client demographic in that they felt like the viewer created the content. We didnt want any super grand images or over done graphics. Just dude-like mentality mixed with some in your face blood splatts.

We wanted to come up with a fun way to showcase that teenagers crave communication in as many different ways as possible, from reflecting mirrors, to origami birds delivering messages. The N! wanted these to be live action but still have the pop identity they've established. Using vibrant colors and animated talent we definitely achieved some killer looks.

We selected certain everyday objects and transformed them, used auditory learning methods as our guide and created simple graphics & titles. Combining them helped us to achieve an idea that children will be able to understand/absorb and adults can get a kick out of as well as they watch this television series for kids.

This artwork was designed for an article discussing LA based noise bands. Most of the bands were known for creating sounds that were texturally rich rather than harmonious/melodic. Their work is a conglomerate and we wanted that to reflect in the images.

CMYK gave us an image of Frank Zappa and then were told to go to town. We mixed it up with both pen and pencil illustrations and analog & digital artwork. We like to think of it as a brighter more illuminated take on doom. The artwork debuted at the CMYK festival in Barcelona.

Conceptualizing this was SO much fun. The flexibility in guidelines and rules helped to produce the epic Caged Rage 3: Binary Budokan, a promo filled with eye-popping visual effects, stop motion and live action. We also thought the influence of Japanese Anime and 1970's martial art films would blend well with the already brewing idea. We hope this project helps build the excitement for the new Google CHROME!
