In 2008, children's book illustrator, Quentin Blake, approached 45 people (a mixture of illustrators and people in the public eye) and asked them to play the Victorian parlour game of describing yourself with images of your favourite things - such as favourite book, food, animal etc. Laura chose to give the project a different dimension, making a 3D paper cut rather than sticking to the traditional format of drawing the objects in a grid of compartments. Laura also chose to group her 'loves' and 'hates' together as a further twist to the brief. The work was exhibited at an exhibition entitled 'What Are You Like?' at the Dulwich Picture Gallery (London). A catalogue of the show was published in conjunction with Quentin Blake's new initiative, 'The House of Illustration'.
