This is the first video for Brooklyn-based Mobius Band, on Ghostly Records Intl. The video was played on MTV2, Fuse, NYNoise and internationally. It was also shortlisted for MTV2 Subterranean's Music Video of The Year 2006. Shot on a shoestring budget against a greenscreen soundstage, the video is a graphic depiction of our human desire to explore and to subsequently return to where we came from.
Description
Total identity package for an AIGA conference about new directions in film, animation, design, and time-based media. We created posters, daily programs, animated speaker intros, animated conference intro, sound design and audio composition, a custom typeface, and a tote bag.
To emphasize the subtitle of the conference, 'Under The Influence,' we designed a forced-perspective grid of objects representing the various speakers and subjects, and drew linear connections between them of varying qualities to show how they might exert influence on each other. These objects then became the starting points for the speaker intro animations.
Description
We were asked by MoMA/Seed Media to create a short film to kick off and set the tone for a speaker series they were co-hosting. We created this piece, titled Experiment, to speak broadly about the transformative powers of creativity, imagination, and ambition. In the film, a pair of hands make shadow puppets which begin to behave in fantastic and unexpected ways.
